Armenta was founded in 2001 by designer Emily Armenta, a daughter born to a family of storytellers and a woman determined to master her craft while telling a compelling story with every piece she created. Inspired by the travels of her grandfather and the Old World artistry she encountered along the way, Armenta jewelry is a love affair that has now spanned more than 23 years. The brand draws deeply from historical and cultural traditions, incorporating influences from Spanish poets, painters, and architects, as well as Moorish design, Marrakesh and Granada architecture, and Sicilian artistry. These heritage elements are reflected in Armenta's signature design motifs, including the iconic crivelli (a decorative bead), scrollwork symbolizing the quest for knowledge, the shield emblem representing protection, and circle elements representing unity through family and friendship.
